Right now I am working on the final topcoat for the EDEN8 — scheduled to be the last drop of the year. The swim check is always the most nerve-wracking step because I treat it as the final confirmation… but honestly, this topcoat stage gives me its own kind of pressure too.
If the paint and the coating solvents don’t get along, things can go bad. The finish won’t cure right, or the colors can end up blotchy — and yeah… I let that happen.

The paint solvent I had been using was discontinued by the manufacturer, so starting with this batch I had to switch to a different one. I assumed it wouldn’t be much different since it’s from the same brand… but I was wrong.

Sometimes things go sideways, and that’s what pushes me to think and improve.
Always learning.
Alright — enough reflection! I am stripping it back and repainting.
Round two — here I go!
