BUGWAKE

BUGWAKE was born from the original BUGROCK silhouette to seriously attack the most demanding and most exciting zone in bass fishing the surface.

By designing the body thicker than the original BUGROCK, surface stability and water displacement were greatly improved. It creates the ideal wake and continues to grip the surface strongly on a normal retrieve. If BUGROCK is a bait for crank down fishing, BUGWAKE exists solely for topwater domination.

This bait was born from experiencing the vast shallow flats of the United States — waters rarely encountered in Japan. Endless skinny water, distant surface boils, subtle ripples sliding across calm water. What was needed was a presence that could alert fish from far away while still feeling natural up close. BUGWAKE is exactly that answer.

Its greatest strength is the wood sound created by BUGROCK’s signature triple-jointed construction. The layered, organic knock of wood contacting wood is both natural and aggressive, carving a clear presence into the water. In muddy water it helps fish locate the bait, and in clear water it breaks through hesitation and triggers angry reaction strikes.
