Built in Fractions of a Gram

Each wooden bait has a different density, so every single one requires individual weight tuning. Even blanks cut from the same piece of wood can vary in buoyancy due to differences in moisture and natural oil content.

I hand-carve each bait from a solid block and fine-tune it to match a reference model, making adjustments in fractions of a gram. As a result, the amount of weight added is slightly different for every bait.

On top of that, once the weights are installed, the holes sealed, and the coating and paint applied, the final balance isn’t known until the very end. That’s the depth and beauty of truly handmade wooden baits.
