Due to changes in import/export regulations between Japan and the United States, tariffs will now apply to all lures shipped from Japan to the U.S.
Previously, you could purchase lures at just the lure body price plus shipping. However, going forward, upon arrival in the U.S., you will need to pay approximately $50-$70 in tariffs (government fees + UPS customs clearance fees) by yourself.
This change can make a huge impact and cast a shadow on MBD’s business. But I have decided to lower the lure prices to ensure that you, our valued customers, can receive your baits with peace of mind. Of course, my daily life is important, but your smiles and the stories you’ve shared with MBD lures are my top priority.

In addition to these,

・Why I Decided to Lower Prices
I believe MBD baits should be not only “tools that catch fish,” but also “baits that deliver excitement.”
Standing by the lake, casting again and again—I want to deliver an experience that creates unforgettable memories, not just catching fish. This is the creed of MBD.
That’s precisely why I decided not to add tariffs on MBD items. If we impose tariffs, the results could be unfavorable, such as making them “too expensive to buy” or “out of reach for those who want to try them”.
Lowering the price was an incredibly difficult decision for me personally. But even more than that, my desire to continue weaving stories with MBD alongside the anglers who believe in us was stronger.

MBD baits are born from wood, each one crafted with time and care.
This means they require maintenance. But, that extra effort fosters a bond between you and your lure.
And the fish you catch with that lure becomes not just a catch, but part of your story. This essence never changes.
