Encounter with Swimbaits.

I have encountered many fish in various Japanese fishing grounds, mainly in rivers. I used to enjoy bass fishing with many different lures, including regular baits, finesse baits, and any size of lure. One day, I bumped into a large lure called a swimbait. Since then, every time I threw the swimbait, I was drawn into its worldview. It took a long time to catch my first fish with the swimbait, but the feeling that I caught fish with much effort was like nothing I had ever felt before. I got addicted to the excitement, my lure-case became filled up with many swimbaits, unconsciously.

Journey and Handmade lure.

One day, my interest was drawn to something. It is “journey”. I got to want to explore new places on my own foot and to see fish I have not seen yet. I chose Brazil as my first abroad journey. Since the country is located the opposite side of Japan, I’m not able to get there so many times in my life. So I brought handmade lures to maximize all memories as much as I can. I still vividly remember those fish strikes as if the surface of the water exploded. I felt a sense of accomplishment, fishing with only handmade lures.

I was a boy who loved to make things.

We all experience “THE FIRST” in our lives. I will never forget the first fish I caught with a handmade lure. It wasn’t a big fish, but regardless of its length or weight, my emotions were greatly moved by it.

My experience with swimbaits and handmade lures led me to explore swimbaits world further. And I will never stop questing for the craftsmanship and creating swimbaits that would leave an everlasting memory for those who picked them up.

Wishing all of you may be with precious memories.
